Robyn embraces a compassion- focused approach to therapy, encompassing skills and practices of mindfulness and heartfulness.

As a dedicated and compassionate person, I bring a unique and transformative, evidence based focus on trauma recovery through the lens of mindfulness. My journey in the mental health profession has been shaped by a deep understanding of the profound impact that trauma can have on individuals, and my commitment to provide holistic and empowering support. My professional foundation is built on a solid 14 year academic background, having earned my bachelor of psychology degree and a post grad in mindfulness from Stellnbosch faculty of family medicine.

My approach is one of being trauma sensitive, deeply rooted in creating a safe and non judgmental space where clients can explore and process their traumatic experiences. I intergrate evidence- based therapeutic modalities with mindfulness practices to help individuals cultivate self awareness, resilience and a deeper connection to their inner resources.

Mindfulness, with its emphasis on present-moment awareness and non- reactive observation, will serve as a powerful foundation for your trauma recovery. I am deeply committed to guiding you in reconnecting with your body, and understanding the impact of trauma on your nervous system, whilst developing skills to self regulate and self soothe.

Why see a counselor / therapist?

Compassionate mind training refers to specific activities designed to develop compassionate attributes and skills, particularly those that affect emotional regulation. The healing properties of compassion have been written about for centuries. The Dalai Lama often stresses that if you want others to be happy – focus on compassion, if you want to be happy yourself- focus on compassion. Compassion can be thought of as a skill that one can train in, with increasing evidence that focusing on and practicing compassion can influence neuropsychological and immune systems. As with employing a personal trainer or sports coach, understanding the psychology of the individual goes beyond an aesthetic solution. It is the link between staying as we are to becoming who we wish to be.

As a practicing registered counsellor and mindfulness- heartfulness & compassionate living coach for over the past decade, Robyn Wolff has developed the effective skills to address a diverse range of social and personal issues. Her insight and experience has provided an in-depth view into seeking viable solutions that result in effective and positive change within each individual. Equipped with over 13 years’ experience, a diploma in Pre-primary education, honors in Psychology and Mindfulness- Heartfulness training. Robyn Wolff utilizes her experience and knowledge to provide the effective solutions.Robyn’s approach is all rooted in compassion –focused therapy, which major key component is to use compassionate mind training to help people develop and work with experiences of inner-warmth, safeness and soothing, via compassion and self-compassion. Robyn Wolff works in accordance to the code of ethics and professional practice of the organization HPCSA.
